The Riders Hotel in Laax, Switzerland, is located in the heart of the Swiss Alps, around 85 miles from Zurich Airport. The resort is well known for its freestyle offering and it scored the award for World’s Best Freestyle Resort in 2017.

The renowned party hotel reopened for the 2017/18 ski season following a major refurbishment. The founders behind the redesign are not your typical hoteliers, the hotel’s PR firm told MailOnline Travel, but creative minds with design and music close to their hearts. 

In addition to the lobby bar, which hosts live music every Friday, the hotel has a huge nightclub located underground and boasts large areas for dancing, a stage for DJs, and even a ping pong room. Previous artists who have played at the hotel include Cypress Hill and Babyshambles.

Since opening last year the basement music venue – which is open to members and hotel guests – has welcomed dozens of big-name artists including the likes of Mark Ronson, Fatman Scoop and Mary J Blige. Some events are announced, while there are also a number of secret parties for those in the know.
