Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves look to build on their dramatic comeback win over Chelsea when they travel to Newcastle on Sunday.

Wanderers midweek triumph halted a run of six league games without a win and lifted the Midlands side to within four points of the final Europa League spot.

Ruben Neves is set to return after serving a one-match suspension, while left back Jonny Castro is not expected to return before the new year.

Here’s how they could lineup.

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Rui Patricio (GK) – Looking for a fifth clean sheet this term, the former Sporting CP keeper made several key saves in midweek to preserve his side’s lead.

Matt Doherty (RWB) – Almost faultless this campaign, Doherty has particularly excelled in attacking areas with two goals and three assists.

Ryan Bennett (CB) – Has a fair share of top flight experience with Norwich and looks to lead by example alongside his defensive compatriots.

Conor Coady (CB) – Captain and leader, Coady will look to thwart the in-form Salomon Rondon.

Willy Boly (CB) – Leaves nothing on the pitch and contributed to some heroic defending against Chelsea.

Ruben Vinagre (LWB) – Great going forward, but not so great defensively – the rapid Portuguese youngster will battle with fellow speedster Matt Ritchie.

2. Midfielders

Ruben Neves (CM) – Neves’ suspension coincided with the side’s dip in form – he’ll be looking to pull the strings in midfield as he looks to regain his form.

Joao Moutinho (CM) – Deployed in a more defensive role than his partner, Moutinho’s awareness, calm and precision on the ball will be tested against Ayoze Perez.

3. Forwards

Morgan Gibbs-White (RW) – At just 18 years old, the England youngster is making inroads at Wanderers and will be desperate to net his first Premier League goal.

Diego Jota (LW) – After scoring the winner in midweek, he’ll be expected to be given the nod ahead of wingers Ivan Cavaleiro and Helder Costa.

Raul Jimenez (ST) – Having netted four goals and four assists in his debut season, the club look set to fork out a record fee to sign the Mexican forward on a permanent deal.
